A technical defect of a water gate in the River Neckar and heavy rains caused a flooding in Stuttgart's suburb Hofen last Saturday.
Even the DLRG's vehicle fleet drowned.
Jutta provides us with some pics which show the situation after the water level has dropped again.
A half wetsuit comes in handy to walk through the water and recover swimming around items like bins and wheels
A 'water sports center at the Neckar' indeed
'Close the barrier, there's nothing else we can do'
Further DLRG and fire fighter units were otherwise occupied, so they called the THW, hope it worked.
Have a natter here.
